Our Academic Partnership program enables educational institutions to receive the same world-class Vortex software for real-time physics-based simulation as our commercial customers, which includes software upgrades and access to the customer support team. Vortex academic partners are a vital component of Vortex product development.
Chartered educational institutions interested in joining the program must meet the following criteria:
- The institution’s primary purpose is student education for the award of a degree or certification
- Vortex products will be used directly for educational or research purposes within the institution’s facilities (the products may not be used for commercial purposes)
Program applicants must also clearly explain how the partnership will be mutually beneficial.
Program Features and Benefits
- Reduced Vortex software pricing to fit academic or non-commercial budgets
- Vortex Annual Academic Lab license or Single User licenses are available
- Possibility of additional short-term demonstration licenses
- Technical support for the project’s technical lead
- Optional consulting services available for research projects
Academic Partner Requirements
- Complete a program application, describing research work and planned Vortex use
- Sign a license agreement stating that Vortex will be used for academic purposes only
- Deliver brief annual reports (one page) on work completed with Vortex
- Provide material completed in the past year such as demos, movies or papers to the Vortex team for marketing purposes
- Use the Vortex Academic Partner designation and provide Vortex weblinks on appropriate Vortex-related materials or websites
